Review: NARS Sheer Glow

About 2 months ago now (yep, my latest haul post was extremely over-due) I purchased NARS Sheer Glow for the very first time. After hearing rave reviews for years, I made the decision to not repurchase my Chanel Perfection Lumiere, which brutally ran out midway through Paris... But too venture further into the world of NARS Cosmetics.

I am slowly becoming more and more acquainted with the world of NARS, and I am really loving it. After purchasing some of their eyeshadows and their tinted moisturiser, I decided to give Sheer Glow a whirl. My skin is quite dehydrated and I often find it feeling tight and uncomfortably, which is partly why I opted not too repurchase my Perfection Lumiere just yet. I adore it in sticky, humid and hot climates, but in more toned down climates - it tends to just cling to dry patches and I find it oxidizes on my cheeks.
I purchased Sheer Glow in Mont Blanc (second lightest shade) after being shade matched by a really wonderful sales assistant at Mecca Cosmetica. The first time she applied it too my skin, it felt wonderful and I could feel my skin taking too it immediately. This shade match is perfect for my skin, especially as I am starting to get a bit more colour with the Summer months coming for me.
Having owned it for the last 2 months now and wearing it about 4-5 days a week - I can honestly say I adore it. It feels heavenly on the skin, it gives a gorgeous satin finish too the skin, not overly glowy by any means, and the perfect amount of coverage for myself, about medium. I tend too wear this for work, and on 8 hour days in a recycled air environment, it holds up really well and I constantly receive compliments on how my skin looks.
It is slightly pricey here in Australia, at $78 a bottle - and my only issues is the fact there is no pump, which annoys me too no end, and although the matte black packaging looks beautiful in hind sight, it picks up every last finger print and constantly looks filthy, which bothers me personally.
But it definitely doesn't bother me enough to put me off - This is a beautiful foundation that I think would work on so many skin types, it's perfect for everyday wear and feels light on the skin, which has made it a staple for me.

Have you guys tried out Sheer Glow, and whats your opinion?

  6. I have a sample of this foundation and it is really nice - I think you can buy a pump for this bottle for £3 on the Nars website, not sure if you can get it in Australia though x
